Driver Hire Basingstoke & Newbury are looking to recruit a Class 2 HIAB Qualified Driver for our client who is based near Fleet in Hampshire. They are working with National Highways on several different projects on or near the M3. The successful candidate must be able to use all aspects of HIAB vehicle, including Brick Grab and Hook as they will be using different types of vehicle & attachment during the assignment.
An immediate start is required, and the work will continue until December 2024 / January 2025 (dependent on weather and work schedules). There will be a 2-week shutdown over the Christmas / New Year period.
Candidates will be interviewed by our client, as well as completing a driving assessment and online induction course before starting work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Carry out designated duties in a professional and timely manner.
* Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks
* Be reliable, polite, and friendly - Good customer service is vital as you will be the face of Driver Hire.
* Have the ability to plan routes and be able to use a Sat Nav system.
* Any other duties as directed by the client.
REQUIREMENTS
* Full UK Driving Licence, with at least 1 years’ experience
* Valid CPC Card
* Valid Digital Tacho
* Valid HIAB qualification (Brick Grab, Hook & Remote)
* Previous National Highways motorway & highway driving experience work is essential.
* Valid SC Medical Certification
* Valid National Highways Passport – this will be arranged by our client for the successful candidate
* Verifiable References
HOURS, PAY & BENEFITS
* £20.92 per hour (including holiday pay, basic rate £18.67ph) - Mondays to Fridays, with enhanced rates for overtime, weekend & night work.
* Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day.
* Weekly Paid.
