If you have 7 years of experience in the building construction industry, particularly electrical tenant and special projects across various sectors, including retail, commercial, mixed-use, from concept design to construction, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget. Coordinate electrical design with external consultants and architects. Develop electrical systems (lighting, fire alarm, power distribution) using AutoCAD or BIM models and schematics. Coordinate with Mechanical, Architectural, and Structural teams to ensure project drawing accuracy. Review architectural and mechanical drawings for consistency with electrical systems Provide direction in the selection of basic equipment and systems. Review or prepare contract drawings and technical specifications for submission to clients and city officials. Offer follow-up assistance during construction activities and participate in selective site meetings. Monitor progress and results through reports, memos, and detailed site surveys. Review selective shop drawings and design details for compliance and viability. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned. Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering. 7 years of experience in electrical systems for commercial and industrial buildings, preferably in the consulting engineering industry. Proficiency with WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT. Experience with TRACE or eQuest, AutoCAD, and Revit is a plus. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (Ontario Building Code, ASHRAE 90.1 and 62.1, NFPA 96, 13, etc.). Superior time management skills to efficiently lead multiple projects. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients, contractors, peer consultants, and team members. Strong team player with interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams, including architects, engineers, interior designers, project managers, CAD staff, contractors, and inspectors.
