Assistant Garment Technologist

ARNE is an apparel and footwear brand/retailer based in Birchwood Park near Warrington, UK. We design and develop our products in the UK, manufacture in the near & far east and then ship directly to our customers, via ARNEclo.com. We have recently branched out and are now also available via Selfridges both in store and online.

We have ambitious objectives over the next decade with the team believing all targets are achievable through new product category launches in shoes and womenswear alongside the creation of paid media, CRM activity and further international growth to amplify the great product / brand assets we have already created.

Reporting to our Head of Product Development, you’ll be supporting our Garment Technology team in ensuring all samples and comments are proccessed in an effective and timely manner to allow our ARNE sizing and quality to always meet our standard.

Requirements

• Work alongside the Garment Technology team to ensure all ARNE products are delivered to the highest quality and most suitable fit.
• Support the Garment Technology team on developing, reviewing, suggesting new Garment Tech, and testing processes to ensure our GT process delivers the highest quality products as efficiently as possible.
• Work alongside the Garment Technologist team to measure all samples thoroughly from suppliers, updating technical sheets and size specifications as required.
• Assist in fit sessions to ensure all products are aligned to our ARNE sizing and quality standards - and ensure this run as smoothly as possible.
• Complete and update the critical path checklist for each product, making sure production is on track, on schedule with deadlines met.
• Support in ensuring all sample comments are recorded and communicated to suppliers, with follow ups on progress where required.
• Support with the Garment Technologist team on reviewing returns data and customer feedback, working together to make amendments to sizing and quality as and when required to improve overall returns rate.

• Work with the eCommerce/Marketing Teams to communicate size guides, and relevant product/material detail.
• Support the QC Team on all shipment sample comments to ensure bulk shipments are released and aligned to approved samples.

Experience

• Previous experience in working in a garment technology environment within Menswear or Womenswear.
• Passionate about product, fit and quality.
• Experience and knowledge in garment sizing, grading and fabric testing
• Willingness to learn about the Garment Technology field.
