Were excited to recruit for the newly created role of Assistant Director of IT and Data at Golding. In this strategic position, youll provide thought leadership, expertise, and guidance across all areas of IT and data, shaping our technological vision and driving initiatives that align with our organisational objectives. Your role will be crucial in developing and implementing strategies that leverage IT and data to improve our customer journeys, enhance business performance, enable innovation, and ensure we remain fit for the future.

What you'll be doing


This is a pivotal position in which youll lead the IT and data functions to effectively deliver on our organisational objectives while providing strategic guidance to ensure high performance. Youll develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive IT and data strategy that encompasses all areas, including technology, data governance, and quality, to align with our needs and aspirations


A key aspect of your role will be building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across Golding. Youll engage with various teams and departments to understand their needs, foster collaboration, and ensure that IT and data initiatives are aligned with improving customer experience and delivering business goals. Your ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels will be crucial in driving buy-in for strategic initiatives.


Youll also focus on ensuring security and compliance while driving continuous improvements in our IT systems and data quality. Establishing an effective cyber security strategy and roadmap, youll be critical in safeguarding our systems. In collaboration with specialists, youll evaluate new technology offerings for potential integration into Golding, ensuring that all decisions are made with stakeholder input and consideration of their requirements.


Additionally, youll implement and oversee a robust data management framework that emphasizes strong data governance and a commitment to continuous improvement in data quality. Youll lead the way in providing technical expertise across various areas, including Business Intelligence report development, data engineering, data governance, change management, and data quality, all while ensuring that stakeholder engagement remains a central focus of your efforts.


More about you. What can you bring?

You will be ITIL or CoBIT certified, or equivalent, and be educated to degree level or qualified by equivalent experience.


We are looking for an individual with extensive senior management experience working in IT and Data leadership roles, including leadership and management of a multi-function team. Youll have experience managing change and have an understanding of the needs and benefits for change.


Previous public sector or Housing Association senior leadership experience would be preferable


Experience of Power BI and other associated reporting technology is also required for this role.


You'll be a diplomatic leader with the ability to interact successfully at all levels. A good listener, youll be passionate about customer satisfaction and business benefit driven solutions.


When and where you'll be doing it

You will enjoy a 37-hour working week and earn an annual salary of £91,000.
