Job Description
Position: Freelance Temporary Works Coordinator
Project: Bridge Build
Location: Edgcott, Buckinghamshire
Duration: 12+ months
Rate: £450/day
Force Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to join our team for on a significant HS2 bridge construction project which is a key infrastructure development, involving complex temporary works that require meticulous planning, coordination, and execution.
Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of temporary works design and implementation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
* Conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure that all temporary works are executed safely and efficiently.
* Act as the primary point of contact between the design team, site management, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
* Prepare and maintain detailed records of all temporary works activities, including design briefs, method statements, and inspection reports.
* Ensure all temporary works comply with relevant standards.
* Oversee the inspection and approval of temporary works, ensuring all installations meet required safety and quality standards.
* Provide guidance and training to site personnel on temporary works procedures and best practices.
Requirements:
* Temporary Works Coordinator Training (CITB or equivalent) is required.
* Proven experience in temporary works coordination on major civil engineering projects, particularly in bridge construction.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrated ability to foresee and mitigate potential issues in temporary works planning and execution.
