Sr. Accountant

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our client's team in Hensall, Ontario, Canada. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing specific accounting financial operations of the company's divisions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work between the Exeter facility and a home office, contributing to both team collaboration and individual efficiency.Responsibilities:- Compile monthly financial statements for the Executive Committee and Senior Accounting Team- Coordinate the preparation of reports for annual audits and other external parties- Collaborate with department managers to develop annual budgets and support the annual review process- Support treasury functions and ensure compliance with related regulations- Aid in implementing costing initiatives- Oversee the processing of account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations- Review and verify journal entries and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting- Manage the month-end close process and ensure timely completion- Proficiently use accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks.- Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations- Demonstrated expertise in General Ledger management and Journal Entries- Proficient in Microsoft Excel- Experience in handling Month End Close activities- Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
