As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations to join our executive team. Position Summary The Vice President of Operations will oversee all aspects of our waste management operations, including collection, transportation, disposal, and recycling services. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the waste industry, a commitment to operational excellence, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across our operations. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. Operational Management : Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Budget Management : Manage operational budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively. Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs through innovation and technology. Customer Service : Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and addressing service issues promptly. Compliance and Safety : Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, and promote a strong safety culture across all teams. Sustainability Initiatives : Lead efforts to reduce the environmental impact of operations and support the company’s sustainability goals. Qualifications Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the waste management or a related industry. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred. Leadership : Proven track record of leading and developing large, diverse teams. Knowledge : Deep understanding of waste management operations, including regulatory requirements, best practices, and emerging trends. Skills : Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Technology : Proficiency with operational management software and technology solutions used in the waste industry. Safety Focus : Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
