Job Description

We are looking for a Plant Manager to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. This role is located in Markham, and is 100% on-site and offers opportunity to grow and develop and grow within the organization. Plant Manager Job DutiesThe Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. They develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectationsIncrease production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standardsBe responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shippingAllocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal resultsImplement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focusMonitor operations and trigger corrective actionsShare a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staffCollect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtimeCommit to plant safety proceduresDevelop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assetsAddress employees' issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreementsInfluence and learn from belowStay up to date with latest production management best practices and conceptsProven work experience as a Plant ManagerProven managerial experiencePrevious experience within the Door, Window industry would be considered a strong asset Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertiseAbility to read and understand AutoCad DrawingsBe knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processesComputer literacyAbility to create accountability and to lead by exampleStrong team building, decision-making and people management skillsBS degree in Business Management or related fieldP.
