Castle Hall is an entrepreneurial, dynamic and fast-moving company looking to add a Media Research Analyst to our Media team in Halifax. This role is in response to the increasing demand for Castle Hall’s services and the firm’s commitment to executing an effective and well-constructed product. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity for personal and professional growth. RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct critical research and carefully curate company websites and third-party media platforms to gather valuable insights for Castle Hall clients. Compile, manage, and verify the accuracy of researched data, integrating it with AI-driven tools into both new and existing databases. Write concise summaries for Reputational Due Diligence (RDD) profiles, capturing findings from comprehensive public records, including regulatory filings, legal databases, sanctions, bribery and corruption watchlists, and politically exposed persons (PEP) lists. Utilize HubSpot to curate, create, and distribute weekly newsletters focused on cybersecurity or Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) media coverage relevant to the asset management industry and Castle Hall clients. Collaborate with Castle Hall's media team in the review and quality assurance process. Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s Diligence platforms and contribute to their ongoing improvement. Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as required. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Commerce, or a relate field. Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Familiarity with AI tools for learning and research, or a willingness to critically explore how AI can enhance the media team’s roles and responsibilities. Confidence and accuracy in using various IT tools, including database entry, file management, and maintaining folders on company servers. Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and clients. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the initiative to identify solutions to problems and the flexibility to adapt to changing tasks. Strong work ethic and professional integrity. Knowledge of the financial industry is an asset. Experience in a similar role is an asset.
