Project Controls Apprenticeship (Level 3 Advanced)

About The Role

As a Project Controls Apprentice your role will include supporting the four key areas of Project ControlsCost Engineering, Planning, Estimatingand, Risk. Whilst rotating through various programmes around the business, you will gain an understanding of:

  • Project Breakdown Structures Cost; Work; Organisational
  • Schedule Development - Schedule Quality, Cost and Duration estimating, interactive planningsessions
  • Baseline Management - Creating and Maintaining Project Baselines
  • Performance Measurement and Analysis
  • Business Rhythm - Month End Reporting and Analysis
  • Cost Forecasting
  • Variance Analysis

As an apprentice you will initially be based within the Skills Academy for induction, where you will develop your basic knowledge and people skills, before progressing on to the onsite aspect of your training. At this point you will start to develop and apply your core skills on placement in a live working environment. In addition to the vocational aspects of your training, we will further your knowledge of project controls through academic studies as you work towards the completion of your certificate.

Entry Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or aboveincludingMaths and English
  • 2 A-levels preferred, notmandatory
  • Applicants must be aged 18 or over, as of 31st August 2025 due to security clearancerequirements
  • You must be a British National to apply for a role with us.

Location Reading / Basingstoke area

Start Date Wednesday the 27th of August 2025.

Annual leave will not be granted from 27th August until 3rd October, due to mandatory inductions and the requirement for you to complete as part of your apprenticeship. Any leave approved after this point will depend on the training provider requirements for your apprenticeship and must be agreed in advance.

Duration3 - 4 years (varies depending on personal performance)
