Site Manager – Construction
Water Industry

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with project delivery and commissioning on an ongoing basis.
- Develop and improve project communication and performance within project and construction teams.
- Ensure compliance with UK specifications and industry best practices.
- Work in accordance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
- Contribute to resource planning and strategy during bid stages.
- Develop and implement Construction Phase Health & Safety plans.
- Oversee EICA and mechanical installation, liaising with both internal and external project managers.
- Develop programmes, Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS), lifting plans, and project quality plans.
- Review and approve site construction RAMS provided by subcontractors.
- Manage subcontractor on-site activities and coordinate site acceptance testing (SAT) as required.
- Provide weekly project reporting, including program progress and change of scope requirements.
- Ensure site construction meets design and quality standards through regular audits and inspections.
- Supervise and develop the construction team, including mentoring and training.
- Deliver toolbox talks and ensure efficient utilization of labor, plant, and materials on-site.
- Drive procurement processes and manage material delivery, handling, and storage.
- Act as Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) and Approved Person (AP) for relevant technical standards.
Key Requirements:
- Certifications:
- Confined space training (medium risk minimum)
- Valid CSCS Card
- SMSTS (5-day course completion)
- First Aid at Work training
- Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor certificate
- Experience:
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering
- Experience in safety management controls for construction works
- Understanding of NEC forms of contract (preferable)
- Previous experience in Water/Waste Water is desirable
- Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word)
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload efficiently
- Other:
- Valid UK Driving License is essential
