Description:

Holy Cross Health is seeking an experienced Interventional Procedure Nurse to be a key member of the department. Procedures performed on the IR side include IR, Vascular, Neuro and emergency Thrombectomy cases.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and if necessary, delegating patient care to a specified group of patients.
• Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals and other staff to ensure the quality of care given.
• Provides care for the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient (as defined in the unit scope of care).
• Utilizes knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient's age to ensure that care provided meets the unique, physical and psychosocial needs of the patient. Involves appropriate parties (i.e. patient's family or guardian, outside agencies) in the assessment, treatment and continuing care of the patient as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned such as on-call, transporting patients, cleaning rooms, stocking supplies, peer review, etc.
• Receives patients into the Medical Imaging Department. Provides care and comfort to patients and insures patient safety. Demonstrates organizational, procedural and assessment skills.
• Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital

What you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
• ACLS Certified within probationary period
• 2 years Critical Care experience preferred
• Successful completion of a refresher program in nursing if applicant has not had a minimum of 1000 hours of direct patient care experience within the past 5 years
• Demonstration of acceptable performance in administering medications according to Holy Cross Hospital's standards within the probationary period
• Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends English language

Pay Range: $39.04 - 58.56

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
