Job Description

SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse, as a professional practitioner, assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. According to the established standards of nursing practice and standards of care, he/she demonstrates an ability to make clinical nursing judgements in an efficient and effective manner. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care and consistently performs according to the standards of the profession

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum Experience: One (1) year acute psych or geri-psych experience preferred
  • Required License/ Certifications: Current California RN License, BLS; ABM/MAB/CPI certificate within (90 days upon hire) annually thereafter & LPS designation certification required within 6 months of employment
  • Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language
  • Physical Requirements: Possesses the physical abilities, including heavy lifting, and perceptive acuity, e.g., visual, hearing, to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions. Review physical activities and working conditions for this position
