Job Description

Your New Company Hays is proud to be partnering with a leading Toronto commercial real estate owner and developer which is seeking a Property Manager to join their team in Markham, ON. They create, develop and manage working environments and commercial spaces designed to enhance the quality of life of their occupants and users. Your New Role As the Property Manager, you will be working out of a Head Office based out of Markham, ON. Under the responsibility of the VP of Operations, the Property Manager is responsible for the continuation and completion of operations, handling effectively all activities relating to a Class A Office portfolio. Some travel is involved, so a vehicle is required. You will maintain relationships of trust with tenants and suppliers, paying close attention to customer service, as well as implement solutions and recommendations to meet the challenges arising from the day-to-day management of properties, including: • Manage payable accounts, tenant invoicing, building operating costs, supplier invoicing, recurring payments; • Prepare and administer operating budgets, monthly analysis reports, and service contracts; • Provide an excellent customer service; • Establish strong tenant / manager relationships for the smooth running of operations; • Be the main contact for tenants to answer all their requests; • Manage incidents, compliance with company and industry protocols and standards, security and building operations technicians; • Provide advisory services on projects, investment planning and budgeting for the operation of buildings; What You'll Need to Succeed • Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial real estate management with similar responsibilities • Experience leading a Team • Demonstrate knowledge of Health and Security • Experience working on budgets: execution and capital project. • Have a good knowledge of calls for tenders. • Be able to read and understand financial statements and have a basic understanding of accounting. • Have good knowledge of YARDI software (an asset). • Have access to a vehicle What You'll Get in Return In return for this position, the successful candidate will be receive a compensation package ranging between $110,000-$120,000 4 weeks vacation to start Benefits RRSP and More.
