Job Description

Building Operator | Commercial Real Estate | Greater Montreal | Competitive Compensation package The building operator must be a team player with good communication skills as he will be, on many occasions, the first point of contact for the tenants and will have the following responsibilities: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Respond to maintenance requests promptly and address any issues related to building systems, equipment, and structural elements. Diagnose and repair problems efficiently.\ Monitor and maintain safety systems and protocols, such as fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and security systems, to ensure the safety of building occupants. Conduct general repairs and maintenance tasks, such as plastering walls, painting, carpentry work, and basic plumbing. Manage and maintain tools and equipment required for maintenance and repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. Generate reports as required by management. Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Ensure the quality of work and compliance with company standards. Be available for after-hours emergency response for building-related issues and emergencies. Identify opportunities for energy-saving initiatives and sustainability improvements within the buildings. What you need to succeed Knowledgeable in the various building systems, including, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, etc. Possess three (3) years of experience in a similar job. Must be mobile, as the position requires travelling between the various buildings. Must be organized and have the ability to deal with various suppliers, inspectors and contractors. Vocational diploma in building maintenance is an asset. Ability to communicate (both orally and in writing) in French and English. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Capacity to make decisions, solve problems, and set priorities. Versatile, open-minded, resourceful, and autonomous individual who enjoys working in a team. Customer service excellence orientation.
