Mon, Tuesday Wed – 7:30am – 4pm Full time permanent with benefits after 6 months Vacation 2 weeks after 1 year of service, 10 personal days Location: Richmond, BC Our client is one of the largest Supply Chain , Distribution companies in Canada andhave a job opening in their Maintenance team for a Licensed Electrician – Automation & PLC Technician (Red Seal -MUST). The job is based in Richmond, BC area . A clear criminal check is required by the employer. Licensed Electrician – Automation & PLC Technician (Red Seal -MUST) is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair of high-speed conveyors, palletizers, case erectors and similar material handling equipment within a warehouse setting. You MUST be licensed journeyman / journey person 442a or 309 Red Seal license holder and have good skills in PLC troubleshooting, SCAMD, HMI and similar on ideally Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron and similar. Red Seal License is a MUST. You will set up and implement Preventative & Predictive Maintenance plan for Controls and drives, assist in upgrade projects. Licensed Electrician – Automation & PLC Technician (Red Seal -MUST) ideally with strong experience in warehouse / Distribution Centre Automation, basic PLC programming & Troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron and similar preferred) Diploma in automation, robotics and similar helps. Minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair experience, diagnostics for Electrical Controls, Drives, SCADA systems PLC , ideally Siemens Step 7 ladder logic, AB, Sematic drives, controls, Wonderware, knowledge of CTU, Analog Input Card, etc . Experience in packaging , sortation, conveyors, palletizers, and similar material handling equipment preferred. Ability to read and troubleshoot machine electrical drawings; Configure PLC message instructions and network settings;All candidates have to pass a written test on PLC Troubleshooting and a criminal check.
