Job: Master Production Planner / Production Scheduler – Metal Fabrication, Welding Custom manufacturing Welding, Fabrication, Sheet metal, Metals, Aluminum, Steel, and similar Location: Kitchener-Cambridge- Guelph, ON area Salary 60-65K; benefits Permanent Full time, Straight Days 8am-4.30pm On site at the manufacturing site Clear Criminal Check Required Our client is a leader in the custom fabrication metal industry and has a job open for Master Production Planner Scheduler for their manufacturing site in Kitchener-Cambridge- Guelph, ON area. This role is based at the manufacturing site. Master Production Planner / Master scheduler will be responsible for scheduling multiple shifts to ensure availability for all custom built and in stock orders. You will work with the Material coordinator to ensure raw material availability and will be responsible for capacity planning to ensure availability of product on time for this made to stock and made-to-order requirements. You will monitor inventory of finished goods, run capacity analysis and schedule the right SKUs with minimum down time and change over time. You will run continuous improvement initiatives to ensure minimal down time due to material change over. This is a very heavy MS Excel based role and experience with ERP helps. Master Production Planner Scheduler will have a minimum of 1-2 years as Production Planner Scheduler within metal, extrusion, sheet metal, aluminum, steel environment ideally. Some experience in Material planning, inventory management, welding cells multiple cells over a 3-shift operation is a MUST. Experience and knowledge of ABC analysis, MTS, MTO, Advanced skills in Excel, ACCESS, MRP/ERP is a MUST have. Diploma in Supply Chain, SCMP etc. or any other supply chain and planning related designations / courses is a definite asset. Bachelor’s degree/ associate degree is a MUST Above average Excel skills are a MUST. Clear Criminal Check Required.
