Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dynamic and driven professional to join our client in the consumer packaged goods industry this is a crucial role that leverages significant experience in consumer products and brand management across the Canadian retail landscape. The perfect candidate will be deeply passionate about identifying new business opportunities and must have a robust background in CPG, with a focus on food, beverages, or supplements. Responsibilities: Profit Growth: Drive profitable growth of assigned customer business to meet objectives, including gross sales and trade budget targets. Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve marketing and business goals. Financial Performance: Responsible for achieving dollar volume, profitability, P&L contribution, and related financial metrics. Account Plans: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Account Plans covering products, trade spend, and pricing for key customers. Promotions & Sales Programs: Collaborate with marketing to create successful promotions, sales programs, and merchandising plans that drive sales. Category Expertise: Become a category expert by understanding the competitive landscape, category trends, and competitive intelligence data. Product Launch Plans: Develop and execute product launch plans and run-out strategies to minimize costs and avoid returns or markdowns on discontinued items. Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service, managing day-to-day interactions, and resolving issues. New Accounts: Prospect within the assigned sales territory to develop new accounts. Broker/Distributor Network: Develop and maintain a strong broker/distributor network, assessing sales results to identify opportunities for revenue growth, customer acquisition, and profitability improvement. Competitive Analysis: Gain in-depth knowledge of key competitors, understanding their strengths and weaknesses to exploit opportunities. Cross-Functional Relationships: Oversee the relationship between customers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations. Trade Shows: Organize and attend trade shows as required. International Market Opportunities: Identify and explore opportunities in international markets.
