IT Operations and Software Manager

Job Title: IT Operations and Software Manager Location: Onsite, Ottawa, Ontario Company Overview: AutoShack is a growing leader in the automotive parts industry, operating both online and in retail locations across North America. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Operations and Software Manager to oversee our IT infrastructure and support our technology teams. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage both network operations and software systems while ensuring high performance and reliability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Position Overview: The IT Operations and Software Manager will be responsible for managing AutoShack's IT operations, ensuring the smooth running of both the network infrastructure and key software systems such as Salesforce Commerce, Salesforce Marketing, NetSuite ERP, Manhattan Scale, and TalkDesk. You will also lead a small team of IT professionals, managing system integrations and supporting the growth of the company's technology needs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Network and IT Operations: - Oversee and maintain all aspects of IT infrastructure, including network design, implementation, and support. - Ensure security, performance, and availability of the network and data systems. - Implement and maintain monitoring systems to detect and resolve issues proactively. 2. Software Management: - Manage the performance and maintenance of enterprise software systems, including Salesforce Commerce, NetSuite ERP, Manhattan Scale, and TalkDesk. - Collaborate with the software development team to ensure timely updates, system integrations, and troubleshooting. - Manage and oversee IT-related projects to improve internal processes and drive efficiency. 3. Team Leadership and People Management: - Lead and mentor a small IT team, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative work environment. - Coordinate tasks and projects to ensure IT systems are aligned with business objectives and operational needs. - Manage vendor relationships and collaborate with third-party providers to ensure optimal performance of IT solutions. 4. Strategic Problem Solving and Multi-tasking: - Develop and implement strategies to support the company’s growth, working closely with management to ensure IT aligns with business goals. - Identify potential risks and offer strategic solutions to prevent downtime and ensure operational continuity. - Handle multiple projects and issues simultaneously, ensuring prompt resolutions under tight deadlines. 5. Compliance and Security: - Ensure all systems adhere to industry standards for security and compliance. - Oversee cybersecurity initiatives and implement measures to protect the company’s data and networks. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: 5-7 years of experience managing IT operations and software systems. Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server management, and data security. Proven experience managing software systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite ERP, and warehouse management systems like Manhattan Scale. Experience leading and managing IT teams, with strong people management skills. Skills: Hands-on experience with network and IT operations, as well as software management. Excellent communication skills, able to effectively interact with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well under pressure. Strong project management abilities and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Availability: This is a full-time, onsite position based in Ottawa, Ontario.
