We are looking for a proactive, confident, self-motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Divisional Manager, Reinsurance Administration About the role: The Divisional Manager, Reinsurance Administration reports to the Divisional Director, Client Administration & Audit and is a member of the Client Administration leadership team. Through coaching Client Administration Analysts and your own contributions, you will ensure that the Division receives adequate premium from clients consistent with treaty terms. You will ensure that the department operates in an efficient and controlled manner as it processes premium and associated financial information. You are the liaison with Clients and the Finance department on premium, experience refund and commissions, providing forecast, analysis and explanations for trends and variances. Key responsibilities of the role: · Lead, manage and oversee the timely and accurate processing of premium and volume information provided by US, Canadian and International clients; · Validate adequacy of premium provided by clients per treaty terms, including accuracy of inforce ceded and rates applied; · Interface with clients to understand complex transactions and resolve premium shortfalls; · Lead, develop and coach Reinsurance Analysts, improving processes to gain efficiencies and increase consistency of performance; · Oversee experience rated refund positions, IBNR and Funds Withheld positions, providing explanations for trends and variances; · Identify trends and variances and present results to Finance department in support of quarterly financial reporting; · Integrate new technology, tools and processes into the Client Administration function through coaching, training and initiatives to gain efficiencies, increased insight into clients and better support internal partners; · Lead projects supporting process improvement, process automation and enhanced data analysis. What you will bring to the role: · Five years or more of experience in life reinsurance administration and familiar with standard reinsurance treaty terms; · Experience supervising a team in achieving departmental or project objectives; · Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail including knowledge of tools such as Excel, Tableau and SQL; · Well organized, able to handle multiple tasks at once and self-motivated; · Ability to collaborate with diverse skill sets across multiple functions of the business; · Ability to communicate concisely and effectively with senior management; · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
