ABOUT US: Upper Canada Soap is an industry leader with over 50 years and an innovator in the world of bath, beauty, and wellness. We are seeking a seasoned, passionate and driven National Accounts Manager who will be responsible for leading, developing, and managing our Canadian sales strategies and retailer relationships with the major national accounts. You will work collaboratively across key functions (i.e., marketing, finance, logistics, operations) to develop sales strategies that align with UCS’s priorities and growth targets. YOUR ROLE IN THE COMPANY: As our national account manager, you will play a critical role as the face of UCS for our retail partners and brokers. You will be responsible for building effective working relationships and delivering on our sales targets to expand our market presence. AS WELL AS: Establish and maintain strong sales relationships with both current and potential accounts, brokers and retailers. Represent UCS with professionalism, exemplifying company values in all interactions with business partners and emerging markets. Negotiate customer contracts and programs to align with UCS’s business objectives. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for the company. Achieve and track sales targets and volume growth, ensuring alignment with key account financial objectives. Create and implement strategic plans to meet or exceed budget targets on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, finance and operations, to support financial planning, budgeting, and overall business alignment. Build and maintain positive and productive working relationships across all levels of the organization. Develop, lead, and refine processes with key stakeholders to ensure timely achievement of all business deliverables. Engage, manage, and challenge new and established brokers, guiding and directing them to meet their sales goals effectively. Develop creative ways to engage audiences and boost brand visibility. Attend and represent the company at tradeshows as needed. Manage the overall business strategy for the independent channel in Canada, driving growth through effective leadership of the team of representatives. Oversee and enhance the productivity of independent sales representatives. Manage and maintain various sales platforms, coordinating closely with the Customer Service team to ensure timely order processing and customer satisfaction. Support the ongoing improvement of sales processes to increase efficiency, boost productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction. Oversee the development of distribution plans, product assortment, and pricing strategies to drive growth. Actively seek and pursue opportunities for account growth and new business to expand market presence and drive revenue. Prepare sales reports and analytics on accounts and transactions. Have a strong understanding of financials and ability to analyze figures to determine profitability, sales trends, and other analytics. Perform additional tasks as needed, related to the role. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: Bachelor’s or graduate degree in sales, marketing, or business-related field preferred. 5 years of experience in national accounts management, sales or buyer role. Preferably in the beauty, bath, health and retail industry. Proven track record managing key accounts with major Canadian retailers, including SDM, Loblaws, and Indigo. Experience in opening new sales avenues and collaborating effectively with both new and established accounts and brokers. Strong understanding of sales principles, account management strategies, and best practices in a national or multi-regional context. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze data and generate reports effectively. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to listen and understand the needs of various stakeholders. A passion for tackling new challenges and exploring innovative solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A creative thinker who thrives on unconventional approaches and tasks requiring out-of-the-box thinking. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Demonstrate a high level of integrity and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of work.
