About Our Client: Confidential Position Scope: The Vice President, Software Delivery will shape the organization’s software delivery initiatives as a strategic leader, directing the design and implementation of software solutions that align with both IT and business strategies and drive performance and alignment across all lines of service. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, visionary technology leader to join a dynamic, evolving organization. Reporting to the CIO, the Vice President (VP) will be responsible for the software development and maintenance of applications and solutions that support the organization’s strategic direction. This is a critical functional area, and the VP will provide innovative vision and leadership to a high-performing team of 100 through 5 direct reports. Key Accountabilities: Strategy Interlock: Ensure business strategy and IT strategy are aligned. Stay informed on emerging technology trends. Conduct governance meetings with executive partners. Define and maintain 3-year technology roadmaps. Custom Software and Third-Party Application Delivery: Build, lead, and inspire the Application Delivery team to engage with the business; identify new functionality, develop compelling business cases, prioritize projects, and develop plans that maximize return on investment for the company. Lead development, configuration, and support of custom and third-party applications. Modernize technology platforms for reusability and standardization. Manage a $50M project portfolio; effectively initiate, plan, schedule, control, and bring to closure multiple high priority projects. Drive continuous improvement using AI and automation. Ensure compliance with standards and methodologies. Reliability & Technical Support: Lead teams to deliver IT services according to SLAs. Ensure timely incident resolution and problem management. Maintain and test disaster recovery plans. Enhance operations through AI and automation. Foster a strong customer service mind-set throughout the application development team, while championing thought leadership and partnership with the business. Financial Plan Management: Develop processes for effective fiscal performance. Oversee IT investment planning and budget management. Manage prioritization and demand initiatives. People Management: Lead and develop employees in line with the organization’s core values. Lead a team managing all aspects of application development and delivery across multiple functions, business units, and business lines. Attract and retain necessary resources. Foster growth and advancement of individuals. Coach and develop high-potential employees. Build a culture of innovation and engagement, focusing on strengthening the organization’s employer brand to position the organization as an IT employer of choice. Education, Experience and Skills: Degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience. 10 years of experience in managing multi-million-dollar P&L, B2B customer service, process/quality management, large teams, and IT service management. Technical skills: SDLC, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, cloud platforms, security best practices, AI, ML, Data Analytics. Leadership skills: Leading and mentoring teams, fostering innovation, excellent communication. Managerial skills: Project management, budget optimization, vendor management.
