About the role

This is a varied and hands-on role which will involve managing the liquids and gas filling operations, the logistics supply chain (import and export) and ensuring compliance with the various regulatory requirements applicable to the logistics function.

In this role you’ll be responsible for managing a member of the team, and working with colleagues to devise and implement improvements to the current packing, administration and data collection functions to ensure the department integrates well with others. You’ll also ensure that the customer experience is at the heart of everything you do.

It goes without saying that you’ll need to physically participate in the filling operations on a day-to-day basis, working with your team member as and when required.

About you

To be an ideal fit for this role, we are looking for someone who:

· Has prior knowledge and operational, hands-on experience in the transport and logistics industry

· Understands the complexities of export logistics

· Has great supervision / leadership and teamwork skills

· Demonstrates excellent attention to detail

· Is computer literate, with the ability to work with Microsoft office packages and well as our own business systems

· Has great communication skills

· Is a problem solver, always looking for ways to improve

· Is able to develop, enhance and follow detailed procedures relating to the role

· Is able to work alone and with colleagues, and is self-motivated to deliver great outcomes for the company and its customers

A knowledge of working with dangerous goods would be desirable, but not essential if you are willing to learn on the job.

FLT license desirable but not essential

What we Offer

For this role, we are offering a competitive salary of between £40 and £45k depending on experience, in addition to:

· 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
