Finance Assistant
Salary: £22,199 – £23,997 per annum, pro rata
Hours: Part Time – 24 hours per week
(Position requires 24 hours per week. Schedule can be flexible, but must include availability on Fridays)

What will a ‘typical’ day look like?
* Take ownership of processing sales invoices for funding, rental & room hire
* Taking pride in ensuring invoices are coded correctly and entered onto our Sage accounting package correctly
* Keeping a keen eye on when invoices become outstanding, sending out statements and calling up to chase payment
* Ensure that invoices are cleared for payment by checking against purchase orders
* Dealing with queries and requests from our project teams
* Assisting with the year end audit
* Being a good team member and covering for other members of the team
* General filing and scanning and any other special finance tasks that crop up
This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure endorsed by the Disclosure and Barring Service
What do we need from you?
* Experience of working in an office role
* Be a great communicator
* Well organised and can meet realistic deadlines
* Genuinely want to do your best – pride in being accurate
* Not afraid to ask if you’re not sure
* Work well with others
* And if you have experience of Excel and an accountancy package, even better
