Job Description
One of our clients, a 4* family hotel overlooking Fistral Beach, are seeking a Head Chef to oversee their busy Kitchen Team!
Annual Salary of £40,000 - £45,000k plus company benefits

Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a comparable position
- Exemplary personal grooming and high standards of presentation
- Keen attention to detail and exceptional foresight abilities
- A collaborative team player with leadership skills to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure under pressure and display a positive attitude in challenging situations
- Dedicated work ethic and enthusiastic commitment to instilling and upholding hotel culture and values
Responsibilities:
• Ensure consistent food standards and quality are upheld throughout all kitchen operations.
• Lead and motivate the team to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
• Support the professional development of junior chefs.
• Implement and oversee existing company training programs.
• Oversee food presentation to meet restaurant standards during service.
• Create seasonal menus aligned with company guidelines while accurately pricing dishes.
• Ensure compliance with Safer Food, Better Business system and HACCP regulations.
• Procure food and related products through approved suppliers to manage budgeted costs.
• Minimise kitchen wastage through efficient operations.
• Uphold quality benchmarks and standards.
• Ensure proper maintenance of catering equipment through careful attention and diligence.
• Efficiently manage engineer call outs for catering equipment repairs to maximise equipment lifespan.
• Conduct biannual performance appraisals to foster staff development.
• Prepare and submit weekly kitchen wage budget.
• Participate in weekly Head of Department meetings.
• Fulfill any additional responsibilities as needed
