Overview

LTE group invite you to apply for an exciting new role in the newly created LTE Group Strategy Team. The role will introduce the successful applicant to planning strategic processes, developing corporate and functional strategies and planning and running strategic activities. The role holder will be involved in setting the direction of the group at the highest level and working with Group and Divisional leaders to deliver their strategies. The role will also involve developing materials and resources for Group and Divisional Board meetings, ensuring performance against strategies is being measured and reported on. Reporting to the Head of Strategy, the Strategic Planning Co-ordinator will be responsible for enabling and supporting the development of strategies in all of LTE Group's brands.5

Job description

We are recruiting for a Strategic Planning Co-Ordinator to join our Strategy and Business Development team at LTE Group, Whitworth House, Ashton Old Road, Manchester, M11 2WH. This will be a fixed term contract of 12 months with potential for a permanent role. You will be The Strategic Planning Co-Ordinator and responsible for Project Managing the activities of the Strategy Team. You will be working directly with the Head of Strategy, Divisional and Group Leaders, the executive team and other senior stakeholders.

You will play a vital role in developing, implementing and aligning group strategies with a focus on planning and co-ordinating the activities of the Group Strategy team and senior stakeholders. You will use your experience to ensure that key milestones in the Analysis, Development, Implementation and Monitoring of strategies are met.

Success in this role will require project management skills, high levels of organisation, excellent verbal and written communications skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage the interests of a large number of senior stakeholders to deliver high quality strategy work on time which will enable the Group to implement strategy and use it to move Group organisations forward.

Key Accountabilities

As a multi-faceted, highly focussed individual you'll be able to exercise your initiative and support the strategy function in the following ways:

Strategic Planning - Manage the co-ordination, development and evaluation of the organisation's strategic framework; aligning it with the Group mission, vision, and values.
Project Management - Project Manage the activities of virtual teams to support them to deliver their strategies to tight timescales.
Strategic Analysis -
Manage and co-ordinate activities such as workshops with Senior Stakeholders to enable them to analyse their strategic business context through application of models such as PESTLE.
Advise senior stakeholders on areas of strategic analysis that are applicable to their business unit such as competitor analysis.
Strategic Development -
Manage and co-ordinate activities such as workshops with Senior Stakeholders to enable them to develop their strategies through the application of models such as SWOT.
Advise senior stakeholders on the development of KPI's that will be used to measure their performance against their strategic objectives.
Strategy Execution -
Advise senior stakeholders on the development of their strategic implementation plans.
Ensure the delivery of KPI's by business units to the board that will be used to measure the business unit performance against their strategic objectives.
Gather and interpret information such as KPI's and Scorecard metrics that will be used by the board to ensure strategic objectives are being met and enable strategic decision making.
Performance - Support the Head of Strategy to develop strategic key performance indicators (KPIs) and annual scorecard milestones for Board, whilst refreshing when appropriate within the agreed Board framework.
Leveraging the power of the Group - Project Manage cross-functional virtual teams to deliver strategic projects and initiatives on time and within budget, ensuring alignment with broader Group objectives.
Resource Planning - Project manage strategic development projects including required resources and establishing virtual teams.
Ongoing Advice and Guidance - Manage and guide cross-functional virtual teams to feed into board, executive and senior leadership reviews of performance against strategies.
Documentation and Communication - Create strategic documentation such as slide decks, reports and charts that clearly communicate strategies to stakeholders at all levels.

Skills and qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need:

As well as project management experience the Strategic Planning Co-Ordinator role is a multi-faceted one in which the role holder will call upon a broad range of disciplines, knowledge and experience to deliver; the Group Strategy Framework, Group Strategy, Business Unit Strategies and the Strategic Performance Management Framework.

BSc/BA degree level qualification in Business or
BSc/BA degree level qualification in relevant subject area
Experience of planning and co-ordinating the activities of teams across multiple complex workstreams to deliver to tight schedules
Developing and managing project and delivery plans
Creating and managing official documentation such as slide decks, reports, business cases, project initiation documents etc.
Working in data driven environments, making evidence-based decisions
Working with senior leaders and stakeholders

Desirable selection criteria

MBA or equivalent masters level business qualification or
Project Management professional qualification
Working in the education or professional education sectors
Working on strategic projects/in a strategic role within robust governance structures
