Souther Area Sales Representative/Van Driver

Staff Solutions UK Ltd is currently recruiting for a Southern Area Services Representative/Van Driver on behalf of our client based in Harlow.

This is a permanent position which is initially offered on a 12-week temp perm basis.

Job Description

You will be driving the company van collecting predominantly used and some new bus components from UK Bus Operator bus depots, this will include customer liaison covering all matters the company considers reasonable and appropriate.

The role may involve two overnight stays away from home every 4 6 weeks on certain driving routes, notably South Wales and Devon/Cornwall.The salary figure detailed below factors in this potential overnight stay requirement.When staying away your hotel costs and reasonable subsistence expenses will be covered by the company. A company mobile phone will be provided for this role.

You will be expected to carry out any other work that is considered within your capabilities, as may be required by your supervisor, work colleagues, or the management of the company, which enables us to fulfil our obligations to customers and serve the best interests of the company.

Hours of Work

You will be employed to work 37.5 hours per week, this could rise to a 45-hour working week after the first 12 weeks have been completed. The factory is open during the hours of 8.00am to 4.30pm Mon to Fri, however you will be expected to start early in the morning in order to arrive at customer sites during their normal working hours or preferred times that they may specify.You will return to the factory premises early in the afternoon, on return to the factory you will need to unload the van, complete any administration tasks and prepare for the following day. It will be your responsibility to keep the van clean and secure. No weekend work required.

Rate of Pay

On the joining the Company your salary will be £14.00 per hour.

To be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria:

Be eligible to work in the UK we will require proof of this.
Be over 18.
Have a licence that allows you to drive a 3.5T vehicle with no more than 6 points.
Have experience as a professional driver.
Be physically fit and capable of lifting, some products can be heavy duty.
Have safety boots.
Ideally live within a 15-mile radius of Harlow.
Have 2 Checkable references.
Be honest, hardworking & 100% Reliable
Have the ability to work as part of a team and to deadlines.
