What you'll be doing

As an Employability & Skills Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering skill training programs, supporting individuals across B&NES, Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging employability and skills training sessions.
  • Completing the necessary administration after each training session, writing case-studies, and capturing the data entry onto MS Excel.
  • Collaborating with partners to identify and recruit individuals for support and training programs.
  • Creating impactful promotional materials and actively promoting our services.
  • Participating in local employability and skills-related network events.
  • Providing structured coaching and mentoring on a 1-to-1 and group basis, including drop-in sessions.
  • Delivering holistic life skills, wellbeing, and activity programs.

You will be required to have a valid UK driving license, with access to your own vehicle, as you will be delivering skills training, travelling throughout the region 5 days a week.

More about you

The successful Employability & Skills Trainer will be self-motivated with:

  • Confidence and experience in organising and delivering skills training, with an understanding of the employability and skills field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with colleagues and customers.
  • Administration experience, using MS office and in particular Excel
  • A background of working with external agencies.
  • A background of working with groups with barriers and ethnicity.
  • Passion for the employment and skills agenda, with experience in empowering people to fulfil their potential.
  • Solution-focused and strengths-based approach with a continuous improvement mindset.

At the same time you will demonstrate resilience and the desire to work in an interesting environment where no day is ever the same!

We will need to take up an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check for this role which we will do for you when you start.
