Job Description
We are currently looking for a Book Keeper to join our recruitment agency on a part time basis. You will be based in our office in Harrow.

BOOKKEEPER/ADMIN
Main bookkeeping key responsibilities but not limited to:
* All aspects of Accounts Receivable from credit checks, sales invoicing and emailing monthly statements to credit control and reconciliation
* All aspects of Accounts Payable from managing input of invoices via Auto-Entry (add-on app to Sage 50), matching invoices to purchase orders, make payment of suppliers & reconciliations on to supplier statements
* Recording of bank and credit card transaction together with regular reconciliation
* Dealing with all necessary transactions relating to the company Accounts email inbox
* Preparation on of monthly management accounts as well as cashflow statements so will need to have all round knowledge of accruals, prepayments, depreciation on, journal postings etc.
* Necessary Year-end duties as required by external accountant
* Ensure digital quarterly VAT returns are completed, filed and paid
* Director & Pension VAT returns will also be required to be digitally completed filed and paid.
* Monthly payroll (Sage Payroll) preparation, filing and payment as well as administering new starters, leavers, P11D requirements, checking references and right to work in UK, and keeping personnel files up to date
* Manage workers for payroll, agencies and project costing reports
* Pensions auto-enrolment payments through Sage 50
* Keep company assets register
* Provide support and assistance to the Director where needed Admin duties
* Maintain staff personnel files including holiday & sickness records
* Reception – greeting of very occasional customers and suppliers
* Admin of records relating to Director’s other related business concerns (minimal me needed)
Personal Qualities
* Problem solver
* Flexible and can-do approach to work
* Have a good working knowledge of all functions of XERO.
* Strong IT skills especially Excel – pivot tables, Intermediate Word & Outlook
* Confident knowledge of P&L Account
* Strong numerical and excellent data entry skills
The role as detailed above has been viewed as part- time being carried out in approx. 3 days per week. It may be necessary to work additional hours for which adequate notice shall be given.
