Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Manager to ensure a smooth day-to-day operations of our team.
In this role, you will oversee routing efficiency, driver performance, scanning accuracy, and ensure that all operations are carried out with cost-efficiency and compliance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure efficient package routing, optimising cost per package;
Regularly assess current processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency;
Conduct daily team meetings, document discussions, and provide follow-up for future reference;
Gather and analyse data for each merchant, creating detailed profiles. Provide feedback on any issues to stakeholders;
Conduct risk assessments for each merchant site and work alongside the Warehouse Manager to ensure all working environments are H&S compliant;
Ensure accidents are reported promptly to the insurance department;
Maintain Communication with the fleet department to ensure the fleet is operating smoothly.
Maintain a focus on recruitment, ensuring enough drivers are active and available in the pipeline.
Assist in the onboarding process for new merchants
Handle general administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Excellent communication skills;
Strong organisational skills;
Experience in writing and communicating standard operating procedures;
Knowledge on ISO27001 desirable
Forklift licence
Fire Marshall Certificate
