Job Description
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper or Accountant looking for part time hours? If you have said yes, then we want to hear from you.
We are currently recruiting for a small but long-established, successful supplier/importer business in Street Somerset. The hours are around 24 per week, and you can choose between working Monday-to Friday, or 3 days per week. You will report into the management team and be responsible for:-
* Financial Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyse financial data, prepare comprehensive financial reports, and provide recommendations to senior management.
* Budget Management: Lead the budgeting process, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial planning to support business goals, regularly reporting to management.
* Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments.
* VAT & Transactions: Handle VAT submissions and manage company transactions with precision.
* Payroll: Oversee monthly payroll processes.
* Managing purchase & sales ledger
* Cost control
What we’re looking for:
* Qualifications: AAT, ACCA or CIMA.
* Experience: Proven experience in financial services, accounting, cost control, and financial management.
* Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial planning principles and practices.
* Technical Proficiency: Proficient in financial software, advanced MS Excel skills, SAGE experience.
* Someone seeking part time hours
* Analytical Abilities: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Industry Experience: Experience in the import of goods, preferably fashion industry and a knowledge of the sector is beneficial, but not essential.
* Local to Street in Somerset
