Job Description

Catastrophe Modelling Analyst | London | £60,000 - £100,000 | Hybrid (2 days per week)

A London based Insurance Company is looking for a number of Catastrophe Modelling Analysts that have experience in Non-Natural, Property or Re-Insurance sectors. This well-known Insurance Leader can offer Catastrophe Modelling Analysts a stimulating environment where the team uses sophisticated modelling and analytics, as well as expertise in natural and man-made hazards, exposure, and financial terms to partner with underwriters and other stakeholders on business decisions. As a member of the team, you’ll have an opportunity to work on challenging problems in a collaborative team, whilst developing your own knowledge and career.


These Catastrophe Modelling opportunities offer;


  • Base Salary between £60,000 - £100,000 (dependant on experience)
  • Performance Related Discretionary Bonus
  • Holiday: 28 days core annual leave, and you can buy up to 5 days
  • Pension: A minimum 2% employee contribution plus 7% Company contribution (9%) up to a maximum of 5% employee contribution plus 13% Company contribution (18%)

We’re seeking candidates that have the following experience;


  • Established experience in Catastrophe Modelling
  • Experience in modelling Direct Property and/or Delegated Authority Business or Re-Insurance or Non Natural Insurance
  • Experience of AIR would be beneficial
  • Experience coding experience in SQL
  • Experience using PowerBI is desirable
  • Good understanding of insurance terms and conditions is essential
  • Good pricing and portfolio management skills, including roll-ups
  • Ability to convey complex modelling concepts to non-modellers
