Location: Hybrid (Office – London Bridge) Reports to: Finance Director Type: Temp to Perm role, immediate start

Salary: £65,000- £75,000 p/a depending on experience

Role Overview:

The Finance Manager will serve as the number two to a dynamic Finance Director, supporting the full spectrum of financial operations — from Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions to the preparation of management accounts and venture capital reporting. This role covers all areas of finance, and the ideal candidate will be eager and willing to learn, while contributing to both day-to-day transactional work and strategic financial management. You will be responsible for managing key financial processes, including AR & AP, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting, ensuring the company’s financial health and compliance with industry standards. We are looking for an ambitious all-rounder who sees themselves growing into an FD in future.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Update the monthly rolling forecast and weekly cash flow forecast to ensure accurate liquidity planning and financial visibility.
  • Ensure the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts, investor reporting, and annual financial statements.
  • Innovate and enhance forecasting models and management information systems.
  • Take full responsibility for all transactional finance operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Take full responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
  • Run the month-end closing process including accruals, prepayments and depreciation journal preparation and posting, ensuring timely and accurate financial close each period.
  • Perform monthly VAT return checks and filings, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for annual audit queries, ensuring smooth and accurate audit processes.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure the timely filing of US income and sales taxes.
  • Handling accounts enquiries.
  • Support the Finance Director and other departments with ad hoc financial projects and duties as needed.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in financial modelling, Excel, and financial software systems.
  • Compliance Orientation: Strong understanding of tax laws, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance.
  • Proactive Self-Starter: Ambition to learn and grow, thriving in a start-up environment where you have high exposure and ability to contribute proactively.


Qualifications required:

The position is ideally suited for a qualified Finance Manager with 3 to 5 years of experience, preferberly articularly in the dynamic environment of tech startups or scale-ups, ideally within the B2B / SAAS sector..

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
  • Proven experience managing the finance function from transaction-level operations to the delivery of management accounts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong Excel skills, with a good knowledge of Xero preferred.
  • Capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading the audit process is highly desirable.
  • Right to work in UK
