What do we do?

FBX Capital Partners is a boutique corporate and commercial debt advisory business in the UK.

Our BD team is in London, UK and we have a dedicated deal team (analysts and associates) in Cape Town, South Africa.

Our typical client is an ambitious UK business with annual turnover of £2m-£50m and a debt funding requirement of over £750k.

Our core specialisms are Asset Based Lending, Unsecured Loans, Venture Debt and Private Credit. Our objective is to be able to provide balanced expert advice to management teams and assist them in managing their transaction to completion.

Compensation:

Salary £65k-75k

Variable Compensation:

Annual bonus scheme OTE 100k-120k

Working hours & setup

Flexible, majority in office (Monument, London)

Reporting to:

Partner; Debt Advisory

Mandatory skills

  • Business Development & Origination experience
  • Experience of working in finance with SMEs
  • Understanding of UK alternative finance debt finance products
  • Track record of originating and executing on debt fundraise transactions

  • Experience seeing business finance transactions end-to-end. You are likely to have worked in a banking, business lending or advisory capacity and are looking for the next step in your career

Role and Responsibilities

  • Building and managing a book of debt advisory clients
  • Originating dealflow for raising debt finance for growing SMEs
  • Managing the process, performance and output of your client base
  • Building brilliant relationships with senior leaders at our clients, prospects and lenders
  • Working with our marketing and partnerships teams to ensure appropriate dealflow
  • Building a brilliant network to originate business from
  • Alongside managing the delivery of your analyst/analyst team, leading on the execution of transactions from engagement to completion
  • Direct client engagement with the objective of understanding their business, their funding requirements and their financial position
  • Receipt and analysis of financial information from clients
  • Detailed analysis of engaged businesses
  • Appropriate submission deal files to appropriate lenders
  • Working alongside lenders to ensure optimum funding process for clients
  • Bringing together advisors, partners and service providers to ensure maximum outcome for the client
  • Continuous engagement and deal management with the senior leaders on the transaction
  • Identifying upsell and cross sell opportunities during the course of transactions
  • Proactive lender and client communication, including managing both client and lender expectations throughout a transaction
  • Ensuring timely and accurate communication and completion protocols on all transactions
  • Continuously ensuring that your ‘stable’ of clients are managed actively to drive any revenue growth, brilliant post-completion customer service and additional opportunities (eg referrals)
