Senior Legal Counsel - Birmingham

Exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join one of the most iconic organisations in the Midlands! This is a newly created opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join a developing legal department of a highly successful and unique business in the West Midlands. This role will be integral to the day-to-day operations and strategy of the business which covers a broad range of sectors and services.

Reporting into the General Counsel, you will work closely with the General Counsel and wider business and have day-to-day responsibility for the legal function. You will lead on a range of commercial legal projects including procurement and supply agreements, partnerships, large-scale projects and governance, compliance and regulatory areas.

The business has gone from strength to strength in recent years and has ambitious growth plans. This is an incredible opportunity to be a part of the growth and development of the business whilst also gaining experience of technically challenging work and being a core member of a growing and valued legal function.

The role would suit a 6+PQE commercial lawyer, currently working in-house or in private practice, who is looking to take a step up into a more senior role or an existing Senior Legal Counsel seeking a new opportunity. We are keen to hear from individuals with varied commercial contracts experience - experience in wider areas such as governance, compliance and infrastructure is beneficial but not necessary.
