Job Description

Prime Atlantic Group are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead our employment processes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of this critical function within the business, reporting to the Operations Director and working closely with the Senior Leadership team to develop and implement a strategic HR vision.

The HR Manager will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the company’s values and goals. This hands-on role will involve managing and administering all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee learning and development, policy management, and fostering a positive workplace culture and would suit someone with excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, with a passion for developing people and creating a positive workplace environment.

Key Requirements:

*

Proven experience managing HR for a business or organisation, ideally in the construction industry .

*

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar HR role.

*

CIPD qualified (Level 5), or demonstrably working towards

*

Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing others.

*

Extensive knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

*

Experience in developing and implementing HR systems.

*

People-oriented with a hands-on approach, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering results.

*

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.

Main responsibilities and Duties:

*

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company’s values and objectives.

*

Collaborate with the SLT to identify HR priorities and contribute to strategic business planning.

*

Ensure that HR policies and procedures are compliant with current legislation and industry standards.

*

Regularly update and communicate policies, including those related to diversity, inclusion, health and safety, and workplace conduct.

*

Ensure adherence to legal requirements, such as GDPR and employment law regulations.

*

Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes.

*

Lead recruitment efforts by identifying staffing needs, managing job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.

*

Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and other sourcing partners.

*

Oversee the induction process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.

*

Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries, ensuring open communication and timely resolution of issues.

*

Develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

*

Identify employee development needs and design appropriate training programs to support professional growth.

*

Lead and administer learning and development programmes and ensure compliance with mandatory training, such as health and safety, and ensure staff certifications are up to date. Administer all L&D records.

*

Handle conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions in line with company policy.

*

Implement and manage a performance appraisal system to drive high performance.

*

Provide coaching and support to managers in conducting reviews and setting development plans.

*

Monitor and review employee performance, implementing improvement plans where necessary.

*

Review and manage employee benefits, including pensions, health insurance, and other benefits.

*

Conduct salary benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages.

*

Collaborate with the health and safety team to ensure the wellbeing of all employees.

*

Support health and safety initiatives, ensuring the workplace is compliant with regulatory standards.

*

Promote mental health and wellbeing initiatives across the company.

This role would suit an experienced HR Professional looking to work part time hours Monday to Friday.
