Pure Permanent Recruitment are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer for a client based in Nottingham.

Previous sales experience within the sheet metal industry is essential along with knowledge of CNC fiber lasers and their applications.

Location: Flexible (office-base Nottingham/remote/customer sites)

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: Between £45 000 - £50 000 per annum + a Company Vehicle

They are an established leader in the industrial machinery supply sector, expanding their presence in the sheet metal industry. They offer a range of CNC Fiber Lasers from the renowned European manufacturer, Kimla. Their commitment to quality and excellence has positioned them as a trusted supplier for various industries, including solid wood, wood-based panels, plastics, composites, metal, and now, sheet metal.

Job Description of Technical Sales Engineer:

They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Salesperson to join their team. This role involves generating new leads and promoting the Kimla range of fiber lasers across the UK and Ireland.

The successful Technical Sales Executive will:

  • Proactively generate new leads and sales opportunities.
  • Promote and sell the Kimla range of fiber lasers to potential clients.
  • Arrange and conduct working demonstrations of the machinery.
  • Accompany potential clients on factory visits to Kimla.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities of Technical Sales Executive:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Kimla product range and its applications in the sheet metal industry.

Achieve sales targets through effective lead generation and sales strategies.

  • Provide excellent customer service and follow-up.
  • Coordinate with the technical team for demonstrations and installations.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and market demands.

Qualifications and Skills of the Technical Sales Executive:

  • Proven sales experience in the sheet metal industry is essential.
  • Knowledge of CNC fiber lasers and their applications.
  • Ability to work flexibly - office-based, remotely, and travelling to customer sites and Kimlas manufacturing facility.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Target Market: The Technical Salesperson will predominantly focus on the sheet metal market, promoting Kimla fiber lasers to manufacturers in the UK and Ireland.

Annual Leave Entitlement:
  • Holidays (pro rata): 24 days holiday (3 of which are used over Christmas period), plus statutory holidays (Bank Holidays etc)
