Day to Day Duties

As a LGV2 driver you will:

• Be responsible for the delivery of kitchen and bedroom products to customers homes with the assistance of a drivers mate
• Carry out pre and post-journey vehicle checks
• Ensure timely delivery to customers
• Load and unload vehicle with assistance of drivers mate
• Complete delivery paperwork and logs accurately
• Operate the vehicle in accordance with all legal and company safety requirements
• Follow assigned delivery routes while adhering to time schedules
• Communicate with the logistics team regarding any delays or issues on the road

Essential Skills

• As a LGV2 driver, you must hold a valid UK Category C driving licence - new passes welcome
• Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Valid digital tachograph card (Digi Card)
• Good understanding of driving safety and regulations
• Good time management and communication skills
• Physically fit and capable of handling goods if required

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience delivering large or bulky goods preferred but not essential
• Good customer service skills
• Experience using in-vehicle technology and navigation systems

What training is provided?

• Training will be done on an ongoing basis
