Job Description
A leading construction, fit out and refurbishment contractor are searching for bright Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The Quantity Surveyor will be working on a High-End Retail fit out scheme, worth £20M and various other projects within the Leisure, Retail and Commercial word.
The Quantity Surveyors Role
The role will be full time, based on site in Central London and site locations may vary (within London) from March 2026 onwards.
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be working for an established and award-winning construction contractor, who are experts in the fit out and interiors world.
Supported by a Commercial Director, the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for -
Commercial management of specific aspects within project.
Preparing documentation for sub-contractors to price; obtaining and reviewing quotes.
Review, analysis, negotiation and procurement of sub-contract packages.
Analysing, pricing and control of changes and variations.
Recording and control of on site works - variations / dayworks / labour only work, etc.
Accurate and detailed site measurement.
Cost control reporting and risk management.
Communicating with all parties on technical and pricing matters to ensure compliance and economic benefits to the company.
Establish and enhance professional working relationships with clients and sub-contractors.
Working closely as part of a team to successfully deliver projects.Hours of work are 8am-5pm Monday - Thursday, and 8am-2pm Friday.
The Quantity Surveyor - Requirements
3+ year's post-qualification experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
Fit-out experience as part of a commercial team on large projects (£15m+) preferable.
Relevant qualification to degree level preferable.
Commercial and contractual awareness.
Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
Awareness and delivery of Site QS requirements - measuring, administration, liaison with project teams, communication and negotiation with sub-contractors.
IT skills, proactive attitude and strong time managementIn return
