Contracts Manager – Commercial Fit-Out
£60K - £70K + Package and annual bonuses
Our client is Hertfordshire based but promote working from home
The Company
Our client is a highly reputable family run Fit-Out Contractor based in Hertfordshire who have been established for 20 years and have big sights in the next few years for progression with strong ambitions to become one of the leading Fit-Out Contractors in the South of England.
Projects range in sectors with the most of their portfolio being within a commercial and retail setting with projects between £10k-£1m. We are looking for a Contracts Manager to work autonomously managing a team of Site Managers and reporting Directly into the Managing Directors. You will be involved in a minimum of 3 projects at one time based across the South East.

The role of the Contracts Manager
Reporting into the Managing Directors, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Overall responsibility for the delivery of projects
* Travel to sites across the South of England
* Calculate all the prime costs on developments within the business.
* Deal with valuations & payment notices
* Provide a detailed cost budget plan and share with the site team
* Maintain schedules of quantities and price them for the prime cost budget.
* Prepare estimates of all costs including sub-contractors & materials.
* Overall responsibility to successfully deliver all construction projects on time and within agreed budget
* Working closely with the supply chain and clients, providing market leading technical expertise
* The perfect candidate will need to have a good commercial understanding as they will have commercial duties, tendering, ordering materials etc…
To be successful as a Contracts Manager you will need to possess the following:
* 3+ years’ experience as a Contracts Manager
* Preferably a carpentry and joinery background
* Ambitious & Driven
* Client facing
