Junior Buyer

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our talented and vibrant buying team as a Junior Buyer, this position is to manage our Sterling Silver range. The successful applicant will be creative, have a passion for fashion jewellery and a background working with sterling silver is preferable but not essential.

Our buying department work with high volumes in a fast-moving environment collaborating with a global range of suppliers.

You will be expected to :

• Work with Design to deliver the range, interpreting key trends
• Manage and deliver KPIs on margin and profit
• Work independently on product development and quality control
• Work with the Head of Buying to create strategic plans
• Ensure effective communication between all levels of the department
• Report key information in trading meetings
• Respond to competitor analysis
• Complete buying trips and some store visits
• Ensure sales are maximized and in line with the company strategy

What we need from you:

• Candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the Sterling Silver and Fashion Jewellery market.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Senior Assistant Buyer or 1 years’ experience as a Junior Buyer with fashion jewellery, preferably sterling silver.
• Someone who can work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with the wider team.
