Newly Weds Foods Banbury
The Banbury site has been part of the Newly Weds Foods family since 2010. During that time our employee team has grown, and we now employ over 250 people. We have a Bakery, Blend factory and a dedicated Gluten Free factory. We operate over a range of shifts in our production facilities, have on site services including a QA team, Engineers, Supply Chain, Logistics, Payroll and HR and we also have a dedicated on-site R&D team.
Job Summary:
A highly motivated individual who will be able to direct and coordinate the purchase of a range of materials for the Company whilst ensuring that they are working in accordance with specifications, budgets and agreed quality standards.
Job description
General Responsibilities (but not limited to):
· Analyse the daily stock requirement report spreadsheet, placing the necessary purchase orders using Suppliers/Pricing Structures set up by the Buyers whilst maintaining safety stocks and not exceeding stock parameters or warehouse capacity.
· Monitor purchase orders to ensure that materials are confirmed, delivered on time, at the agreed price, within agreed specification and comply with the company’s quality standards.
· Maintain regular contact with suppliers to resolve any problems to meet production requirements.
· Maintain regular contact with Factory Management, Planning and Customer Service departments to work towards minimising any issues that could impact on customer requirements.
· Maintain and update raw material ‘Goods In’ schedule for the Warehouse Department, keeping within daily and weekly delivery quotas and ensure regular communication to minimise any adverse factors that may lead to missed production schedules and transport deadlines. Chasing up suppliers to book their deliveries to a timed slot, expediting any late deliveries.
· Associated administration (e.g. matching GRN’s, scanning Inbound Trailer Sheets)
· Work with Accounts and Buyers to resolve invoice queries.
· Assist Inventory & Supply Chain Managers on weekly/monthly raw material reporting demands where required.
· Ad-hoc non stocked items purchase orders where required.
· Provide cover for the team as and when required (e.g. holidays, sickness)
Person specification
Experience / Knowledge / Skills
· 2 years Procurement experience essential;
· Excellent communication skills, with an ability to balance conflicting demands;
· Excellent time management with an ability to remain calm under pressure in an ever changing environment;
· Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines;
· Excellent analytical skills;
· IT literate (Excel in particular);
· Committed, reliable and flexible team player;
· Knowledge of ERP would be an advantage.

Terms and conditions include:
Salary – £32,000 - £35,000 (dependent on skills and experience)
Location – Newly Weds Foods, Banbury
Working hours / pattern – Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
Pension – 3% paid via salary sacrifice, saving you tax and NI contributions
Annual Salary Reviews – an annual pay review is conducted every January
