Job Description
Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Covering Bedfordshire (including Luton, Dunstable, Milton Keynes, Stevenage, St Albans, and surrounding areas)
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Benefits: Company vehicle, pension scheme, BUPA (single cover), death in service, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
On-call/Standby: 1 week every 4

Our client, a leading Global Facilities Management company, has recently secured a major contract with a national Blue-Chip retailer. They are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to cover sites across Bedfordshire and surrounding areas, including Luton, Dunstable, Milton Keynes, Stevenage, St Albans, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive HVAC maintenance across small to large sites.
- Serve as the first line of maintenance support at all allocated sites.
- Ensure all technical and compliance paperwork is accurately completed and up to date.
- Maintain and repair mechanical equipment such as fans, pumps, and compressors to high standards.
- Adhere to safe working practices with three-phase and single-phase electrical systems.
- Identify faults in plant and machinery, reporting non-repairable issues to the HVAC Supervisor.
- Conduct surveys and complete reports as required by management.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Commercial and Industrial Gas or Building Services / Heat & Ventilation.
- City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas Category qualification.
- Strong experience in maintaining and servicing heating systems across multiple sites.
- A customer-focused attitude, able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working in a multi-site environment and dealing with on-site management.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- A hands-on, can-do attitude with flexibility in your approach to work.
