Weighbridge Operator

Job Summary
The Weighbridge Operator plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our facility by managing the weighing process of incoming and outgoing vehicles. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and proficiency in various software applications to ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a professional environment while providing excellent customer service to drivers and clients.

Working hours

Between 07:00 - 19:00 Monday to Friday (Saturdays available)

Pay rate

£12.00 per hour (negotiable on experience)

Duties
- Operate the weighbridge system to accurately weigh vehicles and record data.
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing weights are logged correctly in the system.
- Maintain clear communication with drivers, providing instructions and answering queries with professionalism.
- Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, and printing tickets
- Uphold safety standards and protocols while working in a busy environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations at the weighbridge.

Qualifications
- Strong organisational skills.
- Previous experience in clerical or administrative roles is advantageous.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with clients and drivers.
- Basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and record maintenance.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
