Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join a dynamic team within a leading global organisation specialising in high end machinery for safety critical markets. This role will be pivotal in managing and developing the procurement team to achieve the company's operational targets, with a focus on global sourcing, supplier management, and cost reduction strategies.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the optimal delivery of supplier materials.
  • Achieve and report on year-on-year cost reductions.
  • Drive managed inventory reduction and working capital improvements.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and performance improvements.
  • Implement strategic purchasing initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct supply market and supply chain analysis to optimise costs and add value.
  • Develop and negotiate supply agreements, service level agreements, and contracts.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the supply chain and internal processes.
  • Support internal initiatives on product development and new product implementation.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in people and process management within a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering supply chain environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Engineering/technical background with an understanding of technical drawings, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in writing and interpreting contract documents.
  • Experience in global sourcing and advanced purchasing techniques is highly desirable.
