Job Description

Our global client is seeking a goal-oriented Business Development Manager to succeed in an important role in further developing their highly successful Power Products division.


Role:

The prime responsibility for this role is to achieve Miimo's agreed commercial objectives, through effective account management of the Franchised Dealer Network; including Unit sales, and a variety of Dealer Support and promotions as required.


The role will involve working closely with dealers to develop strong manufacturer/dealer partnerships offering dealers the necessary support and guidance in delivering their mutual objectives.


As this role is a national field-based role you will require a full driving licence and the ability to travel nationally with flexibility for frequent overnight stays as required.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide the primary personal link between the Dealers and create a proactive working environment and partnership with the dealers at all levels.
  • Develop a strategy medium and long term to increase Market Share.
  • Work in conjunction with high-performing robotic dealers to create a best practice guide.
  • Organise and run regional dealer meetings to share updates, training and coaching refreshers, helpful tips, and shortcuts.
  • Develop and promote the HRGC Multi-Miimo pitch package for RFU clubs.
  • Support ASMs through coaching at Sales Meetings on updates and sales best practices.
  • Support dealers on Sales & Marketing Strategy so every dealer has a 12-month plan – Building Consideration and Awareness in the dealer's territory.
  • Work closely with newly appointed dealers to familiarise them with the robotic products
  • Liaise with other HME branches on sales developments.
  • Support Corporate Sales Manager to secure sales into major corporate accounts.
  • Work together with the Customer & Area Sales Manager team to resolve complex customer issues.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of Miimo from a sales (feature and benefits) and technical point of view so training and coaching refreshers, helpful tips, and shortcuts can be delivered with credibility (training will be given).
  • Provide in-dealer coaching on installation.
  • Manage and motivate franchised dealer staff at all levels to consistently provide customers with excellent customer service and to achieve overall divisional objectives utilizing available tactical resources and products.
  • Liaise, plan, and assist with local promotions, shows, and PR and utilize the national show programmes to the best advantage of the product groups in the area and nationally.
  • Increase sales nationally in line with the growth strategy through the Five P’s: 1. People 2. Price 3. Promotion 4. Placement 5. Product.


Qualifications, skills, and experience:

Required:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in selling and achieving commercial targets.
  • Experience in collaborating with a team to achieve set objectives.
  • Analytical skills to collate and present relevant data.
  • Understanding of the dealer business or distributor sector.
  • Proficient in Excel, intermediate in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Full driving license and the commitment to travel extensively so that sales results and extensive dealer contact are maintained.
  • Be prepared to undertake frequent overnight stays away.


Desirable

  • Knowledge of the sector including competitor activity.
  • A similar role in the manufacturer/retail environment is preferred.
