Paritas is partnered with a leading Commodity Trading House that is currently on the lookout for a Head of Market Data Procurement who will be responsible for sourcing market data ensuring reliable and cost-efficient data feeds. You will drive the contracting and onboarding of feeds aimed at continually improving the Marketing Division and ensuring data is fit for purpose and compliant.

The ideal candidate will:

• Lead and coordinate the tendering, negotiation and contracting of data fee services from data vendors as well as relationship management through the contract lifecycle.
• Review performance versus contracted obligations, maintaining an organized contract inventory.
• Drive operational efficiencies by designing a framework to review data feed requirements, and determine contract optimisation opportunities.
• Drive good governance of vendor relationships to ensure we are deriving the best value from the contracted services.
• Track actual spend versus contract, recommend process improvements, and facilitate projects for automation.
• Deliver effective budgets (Plans of Purchase) agreed with key stakeholders and Finance that are aligned to the global budgets.
• Manage purchasing/renewal operations including the negotiation lead time, processing of new / modification of data feed requirements, trials and POCs.

Skills:

• Proven experience in successfully negotiating complex, high-profile contracts, including service-level agreements.
• Excellent client management skills and experience in leading projects involving a range of stakeholders.
• Must have Market Data domain knowledge, preferably in commodities and derivatives.
• Strong knowledge of data governance principles and familiarity with running compliance audits.
• Strong implementation and change management abilities.
• Pro-active in approach (e.g. spots issues and challenges and actively works to address these).
• Good communicator, clearly articulating key outputs and next steps, working across multiple stakeholder groups.
