Accounts Payable Assistant, North London, £28k, Hybrid

Join a vibrant multi entertainment venue that stands as a cornerstone of cultural and recreational life in North London. They are looking for a Accounts Payable Assistant, who will play a key role in our finance team by ensuring the accurate processing of purchase invoices and collaborating with colleagues on supplier and client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices and payment requests for accuracy and compliance.
• Data Entry: Accurately enter invoice details into the accounting system with proper coding and matching.
• Payment Processing: Prepare and execute electronic transfers and BACS payments on a regular schedule.
• Vendor Management: Maintain updated vendor records and resolve payment inquiries and discrepancies.
• Reconciliation: Assist with reconciling accounts payable transactions and monthly statements.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards and assist in audit preparations.
• Reporting: Generate accounts payable reports to support management decision-making.
• Team Support: Collaborate with the finance team and assist non-finance colleagues with purchasing processes.
• Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance department.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail, hospitality, or leisure sector
• Experience with advanced computerized accounting systems
• Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
