Here's the exciting bit…a day includes:

Within the Own Brand Design team this fast-paced role will make it happen, Managing all packaging artwork. Line managing three Packaging Artworkers you will ensure allocation of resource to projects and manage all projects on time delivery within brand and cost parameters. Working closely with the Head of Own Brand Design,inhouse and external Packaging Designers and the wider commercial team. You will be integral in keeping critical paths on track.


A typical day in this role includes:

Project management:


Coaching and supporting the artwork team , sharing best practice, building a right first time mindset.

Ensuring artwork requirements are resourced appropriately,

Managing multiple projects simultaneously to ensure artwork elements and approvals are completed to agreed timescale, within budget and time.

Timely communication with stakeholders, to update on progress and quickly resolve challenges.

Managing external contractors (artworkers) where necessary.

Artwork production:

Thinking Customer first, challenging the best packaging artwork solutions for our Customers.

Managing Quality Control on all artwork – peer reviewing artwork before release to suppliers.

Being the brand guardian, ensuring an on brand and consistent approach.

Overseeing proofing and assist with setting colour management standards.

Has extensive knowledge of print production and experienced working with different types of packaging.

Input into technical elements of artwork production internally and externally to maximize efficiency – liaise with printers as required on proofs and print restrictions.

Maintaining filing systems and print/ proof/ product samples.

Producing mock-ups of artworks on products as required.

What you’ll need:


Experience in packaging artwork production and Studio/resource management, ideally in Retail/ FMCG field. Preferably in the Health and Beauty sector.

Previous project management experience and proven ability to meet time critical deadlines.

Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple projects at once.

MAC user with experience in relevant software; Adobe Illustrator, In-Design, Abobe-Pro, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop.

Clear communicator who can liaise with multiple people to get the right result.

Must have a keen eye for detail.

Team player who is proactive and results driven.

Hours: 37.5 | 9.00am - 5.30pm - Hybrid working available depending on role responsibilities with 2 days working from home and 3 days in our stylish, modern and collaborative office close to East Croydon Station.
