Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interim Manufacturing Manager to join fast paced operations.


This role will be part of crucial turnaround team and will be a key player in the leadership team in establishing processes and culture.


As Manufacturing Manager, reporting into the Site General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, including production, inventory control, quality assurance and customer service. Along with developing, overseeing, and monitoring budget and production targets.

You must have strong leadership skills and be able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Manager role.

  • Work with production teams to ensure that goals are being met.
  • Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department.
  • Support implementation of cost, quality, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Lead all on-floor daily activities as per the production schedule.
  • Participate in the selection and training of new personnel.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Serve as a technical expert and coach for team members.
  • Responsible for overseeing the resolution to all issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets when required.
  • Follow standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Perform safety audits as required.


What we are looking for in you?

  • Demonstrate experience of leading teams and change in a manufacturing environment within FMCG sectors.
  • A critical thinker who pays attention to detail.
  • Inspiring communicator, someone who takes their team with them with positive engagement.
  • Use leadership skills to help with problem solving and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Training in Six Sigma/ black belt preferred.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure problem solving occurs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Searches for deviations and strives to improve procedures to minimize them.


Whilst this is a 12 months FTC, there is potential for this role to develop into something more longer term.
